Medicare Rebates

For some people with chronic conditions, a limited number of Medicare rebates (up to 5 per year) may be available for dietitian consultations. This requires a special type of written referral (an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC)) from your general practitioner (GP). You can ask your GP if you qualify for this program. All Patients with an EPC will be charged the standard $80 for their initial consultation (gap cost $29.95), and can be bulk billed for their follow up sessions (up to the granted number of sessions to the dietitian detailed on their EPC referral).

Concession Card Holders

If you possess an aged pension or disability pension card you will be eligible for a 10% discount on all sessions (unless under an EPC where you will be charged the same as others with an EPC, see Medicare Rebates above).

Private Health Insurance

Corporate Nutrition Melbourne is a registered provider with a number of private health funds, which means you may be able to claim a rebate, depending on your level of cover. Please check with your health fund to determine your own eligibility for a rebate.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)

Veterans referred to the dietitian by their GP are bulk billed. Home visits are also available. Speak to your GP or contact us for more information.

Veterans with dysphagia, poor dietary intake, unintentional weight loss or other nutrition-related complications can benefit from dietetic input from an APD. Nutrition support from an APD plays an integral role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety of oral intake and improve nutrition and hydration status, and BMI.

Cancellations

Please provide at least 48hrs notice if you are needing to cancel an appointment. A fee will be charged for missed appointments without any contact or for cancellations made less than 48hours in advance.
